Underwriting Graduate Programme
Underwriting is what we do, as a leading speciality insurance and reinsurance group we find a way to protect business activities across the globe.
(Re)insurance underwriters analyse and appraise the global risks involved in insuring people and their assets. In a nutshell, the job is to choose what risks Chaucer will insure and for how much. To get equipped for this, underwriters are trained in specialist risk assessment and pricing skills.
Our 24-month rotational programme gives you the opportunity to work across a breadth of our (Re)insurance underwriting divisions, for example you may spend time in Reinsurance, Cyber, Casualty, Energy, Nuclear, Political and Property.
Through our proven approach you’ll develop your expertise in every aspect of underwriting. We’ll begin with an initial introduction of the risk by the broker, through to assessment of the coverage needed, up to policy pricing and account management.
The combination of this experience, along with the training and support we offer, will enable you to advance your career and develop into a skilled underwriting professional.
