Chaucer appoints Alex Baker as Class Underwriter in their Political Violence and Crisis Management Team
Global specialty (re)insurance group Chaucer has appointed Alex Baker as Class Underwriter within its Political Violence and Crisis Management team. Baker will lead the delivery of their growth strategy and portfolio management in the US market.
Alex brings a wealth of experience to Chaucer, having previously worked at AXA XL (Catlin) for thirteen years where he specialised in underwriting Terrorism and Political Violence risks.

Chaucer recently partnered with Gabriel and Merrill Herzog to launch its Active Assailant product for the US market. The product covers combined property damage, business interruption and liability cover following active assailant incidents at an insured’s location or neighbouring sites.
