Chaucer tops the Gracechurch London’s Leading Underwriter Report 2021 Female Top 10
Three underwriters from Chaucer, the specialist (re)insurance group, have been recognised in this year’s Female Top 10 in Gracechurch’s London’s Leading Underwriter Report.
Harriet Sharp, Senior Class Underwriter (Political Violence) was named top female underwriter in the London market for the second year running. In addition to Harriet, Deborah Wyatt, Head of Political Risks and Credit and Tracy Cattermole, Class Underwriter (Energy) were also included in the Top 10.
This is the second year in a row that Chaucer has had the most nominations of any London insurer.
Gracechurch’s annual London’s Leading Underwriter Report, now in its sixth year, lists the underwriters who are voted ‘market leaders’ by 400 underwriters and brokers. The report ranks almost 800 underwriters and identifies the key characteristics that set leaders apart.
Nicola Stacey, Chief Underwriting Officer at Chaucer says: “Since joining Chaucer 16 months ago, I have been hugely impressed by the strength and depth of our underwriting talent.”
“Chaucer’s strong showing in the Female Top 10, in particular, is testament to the meritocratic nature of the business and proof that the firm values diversity and inclusion.”
“We’re proud to have some of the best female talent in the insurance industry. Harriet Sharp, Deborah Wyatt and Tracy Cattermole epitomise the qualities we value at Chaucer and I am delighted that their talent has been independently recognised by the brokers we work with.”
