James Irvine

James joined Chaucer in 2016 as a Class Underwriter and in 2023 was promoted to Head of Marine Global Hull Lines with responsibility for the management of our Marine Global account. Prior to this James worked at RSA where he was a Senior Hull Underwriter on their International book in London. While at RSA James also setup their marine hull portfolio in the Middle East, based out of Dubai. He has over 17 years of marine underwriting experience. James holds a degree and MSc from The University of Lancaster and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
