Ryan Ward

Ryan joined Chaucer in 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in the market, having begun his reinsurance career in 2000 as a broker at Aon Re. He is a Senior Class Underwriter and Deputy Head of US Casualty Treaty. He manages an extensive portfolio of long-tail reinsurance business with particular specialism in medical professional liability and workers compensation risk. Prior to this, he was at Aspen Re for a decade where he was responsible for the company’s North American Casualty reinsurance department. Ryan is the past chairman and current member of the Lloyd’s Market Association Committee for North American Casualty Treaty. He holds a degree in Economics and Actuarial Studies from The University of Southampton.
